Masseria Trullo was born from a desire to share olive oil as it is known in Puglia: fresh, expressive, and inseparable from everyday life. Rooted in generations of Italian tradition, every bottle brings the character of this remarkable place directly to your table.
Olive oil comes from fruit. It should taste like it.
True extra virgin olive oil is mechanically extracted from fresh olives, never refined, and full of character. Its fruitiness, bitterness, and peppery finish aren’t flaws; they are signs of an oil that is vibrant, carefully made, and meant to be used generously.
Our family groves sit outside Monopoli, Puglia, where ancient olive trees grow in red earth warmed by the southern Italian sun and cooled by Adriatic breezes. Each harvest captures a particular season, and the brief moment when the fruit is most expressive.
Olives begin to lose character the moment they leave the tree. Ours reach the mill within five to six hours, where their oil is mechanically extracted, filtered, and protected from air, light, and heat. Every lot can be traced from the bottle back to our family groves.
